Sunday 22/10 - Steady B ride to Broadacres - 9.15am BH

Post by michelle » 21 Oct 2023 10:01

Weather looks dry for tomorrow, so I suggest a steady ride to Broadacres - those that don't want to stop can continue home - approx 50 miles - I'll post a route later - thanks - hope to see some of you tomorrow!

This is the route:

Hi
An alternative is to go to the community cafe at Kinver - it's hillier but less likely to find floods (IU think) - this is the route:

We can decide in the morning!

Thanks for a lovely ride to the community cafe in Kinver - glad I changed the route and we had dry feet !

Hi Michelle,

As long as the weather forecasts aren't lying through their teeth and it's raining cats & dogs in the morning, I'll join you.

You might want to reconsider your route to avoid Himbleton and Middle Lane by the bottom of Priest Bridge to be honest. I foolishy rode thru it yesterday and the water level was half way up the bottle cage!
Needless to say the volume and weight of the water finally forced me to stop in the end and l had dismount and wade out, knee deep!!!

I went through there today. Remarkably, asides from flattened grass you would never have known that flooding had occurred. Even the road was free of detritus. However, Shell remains a complete muddy mess.
