Weekly Club Update and Club runs for the weekend of 28th and 29th of October

WEEKLY UPDATE:

Short one this week as it's all about floods and hallowe'en...wow, that was a wet one, eh? but thanks to the leaders who led and the riders that rode, the Beacon still donned our funny clothes, threw a leg over a bike frame and ventured out into the land of brown leaves and conkers. Let's all cheer for Stuart Jones, Michelle Thompson, Mariana Sorrill and Paul Balfe, who led the A-D rides respectively and respectfully. Hope you manged the flooded lanes ok, although they did seem to drain pretty quickly after Friday's storm.

So, yes, it's Hallowe'en this weekend but no one gives a stuff, so let's just ride and leave the undead alone shall we? October is drawing to a close and November is upon us, the month of the half term Beacon Academy training events at Ackers, the Beacon dinner, and Beacon's cross event at Walsall Arboretum, so who's going to all three? We hope to see many people going along to these events and dinner tickets are available on the website for what should be a sociable evening of non stop rabbiting.

Does anyone still play conkers?

Oh and it's also the time of year when Summer 2024 events are being discussed in pubs and Whatsapp groups everywhere, and there are plans afoot for a two-day and one-day trip to Weston-Super-Mare and back, as well as Aberwrystwyth and back, a Beacon Mallorca trip taking in the 312, and I'm happy to publicise any emerging events that you're planning for next year...build it and they will come.

Keep happy amongst the falling leaves...

Phil
