Little Mountain Time Trial

As you will have noticed there are no club runs on the 21st April.
This is because the club is staging its biggest race of the year. The idea is that on that day instead of going on the club run members should be helping out with this event.
There are something like 300 members. So far I have only had 2 new volunteers. From the usual bunch that help out every year several are not available. Below is an email sent to me from one of those regulars. I think you will see what I mean.
"Dear Chris
I'm afraid the time has come to bring my marshalling career to an end. I am in my 88th year now and happily in far better health than a person of my age can reasonably expect, but signs of meltdown are beginning to manifest themselves, specifically in maintaining my balance. Not a great problem normally, but I feel that hopping on and off a grass verge/kerb, gesticulating wildly with a red flag is a potential route to disaster. I had a couple of stumbles last year and think it best for me. passing motorists, and the club that I call quits.
I shall come out to the event, hopefully, and if there is anything I can do at HQ or round the course to help out without endangering anyone, do let me know.
Last year was the 70th anniversary of my first involvement with the MTT and I was somewhat saddend to hear that there were only nine volunteers for marshalling
Perhaps you can shame some of the current membership in to turning out."
We need around 15 to 20 people to marshal this properly so please can you consider helping.

Looking forward to some response
