SOLD OUT!!! - BEACON RCC BIKE MAINTENANCE CLASS - WEDNESDAY MARCH 20TH AT 17:20
Posted: 11 Mar 2024 12:35
Hi all,
It's here, the Bike maintenance class for people who know very little about bike maintenance. This will be led by Mick Stanford and takes place on WEDNESDAY MARCH 20TH - 17:20-19:50 to at:
Holloway Hall Community Association
Holloway, Ley Hill, Birmingham B31 1TT
There is a maximum of 12 people on this course, first come, first served, and if it is over-subscribed, we'll organise another one in April.
You will learn how to keep your bike on the road by checking & fixing common problems. We will talk through some of the most common trail side repairs. Please bring your bike with you plus any tools you would normally carry on your ride. Pump, tube, multitool, etc.
We will start with pre-ride checks, know as an M Check. This can help identify potential issues that could arise on a ride.
We will then go through the practicality of trail side repairs such as **flat**s, splits in tyres, (this will be for both tubes and tubeless), broken spokes, broken chains, broken gear cables. This will include items you can carry to help with these repairs.
Will will also cover replacing disc brake pads, removing and putting on a cassette and anything else we have time for.
SIGN UP BELOW:
Ian Gannon
Liz IAnson
Carina McGovern
Steven Moses
Noel O'Dwyer
Neil Orchard
Phil Richards
