WEEKLY UPDATE:

We promised it, and now it's here, yes, the long awaited bike maintenance course for noddies has now been arranged. Take a look at the details below and sign up quick as we only have a maximum of 12 attendees

Everyone is thoroughly hacked off with the weather and the endless rain and cold, but club runs continue apace... In two weeks on Sunday the 24th, we have the first of George's 'Ride together' club days, where we hope all rides will got he same cafe, for a spot of socialising and cross-ride mixing...watch out for more details next week. Thanks as always to this week's club run leaders, Andy Wrightson, Ade Ravenscroft and Mick Stanford...legends one and all.

Finally, this week has seen the publication of Sam Boswell's self-penned book, 'Ironman, Me and the Big C'. This recounts the story of how Sam finished second in her age group at Ironman UK in July 2022, but was then diagnosed with cancer in the same month, and not just any old cancer (if there is such a thing!)...It's a great read and an insight into her life, races, wins and recovery from the diagnosis. Many Beacon members will know her via her club rides or via her sports massage business, so take a look here and buy the book...it's well worth it!
