WEEKLY UPDATE:

Well, has there ever been a week like this? So much planned for your delectation that Beacon may take over your world for a few days :D

Wednesday: Not only is there Academy training at Ackers, but there is the first Beacon Bike Maintenance class for noddies! This first one is sold out, but watch out for another one in April or May

Thursday: The normal Tardebigge gang are off to the Morgan Car Museum cafe in Malvern at A/B pace...the offer is always there for a slower group to join up and ride also...meet at Tardebigge at 10am

Friday: Beacon social night in Harborne...see Nick's FB post for more details

Sunday: The first 'Big Coffee Stop' club run to Broad Acres fishery where all club rides ride out to the same cafe, roughly arriving at 11am, so it's a great chance to perhaps test yourself by riding out on one ride, and back on another, or just ride with different people, so your well-worn jokes fall on fresh ears!

Not only that, but Time Trials are about to kick off again, with the first one in Earlswood on Saturday 6th April as a leg loosener encouraged to give people new to TT'ing a chance to have a go on a short course.

...and of course, the summer of touring will kick off in a few weeks, and there are still TWO places remaining for the 2-day Weston weekend...see Alan Weaver's post for the details.

So with so much to come, you are no doubt reeling with anticipation, and need a sit down with a coffee, so I'll finish there, but just thank you again for those that led on Sunday, namely Stuart Jones, Michelle Thompson, Mariana Sorrill and Mick Stanford, and of course Ade Ravenscroft's solo group ride...watch out for that last one, it'll be good training for faster group rides to come.

Finally, I've seen 3 or 4 people have bought shiny new bikes, and we're looking forward to seeing them on the road...if it's your new bike's first outing, post a picture of it...there's nothing like a bit of bike envy on Monday morning.

Enjoy your Beacon week, and let's see a load of riders out together on Sunday...SIGN UP OR TURN UP!!

Phil
