B run

Post by neilo » 09 May 2015 09:36

Tomorrows B Run is about 60 miles with approximately 3500 feet of ascending with no big climbs really, cafe is coffee #1 which is on the high street so bring a lock if you have one, weather looks dry for now with a slight headwind on the way out.

For information, roads through Crowle will be closed to traffic between 11.15 & 12.45 due to a fun run.

Slightly changed route from normal given the intel out of Drayton HQ (thanks Philip ) Couldn't find the Fun run route on line so best avoided ,but did find complaint from one of last years runners, about an officious marshal, couldn't have been the same bloke ???
Bit more A road than i would like ,But its only the 422 so its hardly the M5. (as long as I don't take the wrong turn of the island it ain't )

C ride to Hillers today, we had a large group set off from the Black Horse. It was decided that we had to split into two groups, thank you to Andy Terry for leading the second group.
There was a couple of wrong turns for the first group, however we got there in the end shortly followed by the second group. Return journey came with no major incident, I would like to thank everyone who attended for a pleasant ride.

Being a little 'challenged' in matters pertaining to punctuality, I am not unused to arriving at a club run destination to discover that everyone has already gone.

However, it's not often that I get to the destination and discover that the café has gone.

I attempted to rendezvous with the B run today, but failed miserably.

That makes a grand total of 39 club run riders. If you count George who missed the group, that makes forty. All on a day, when a large component of the club were away riding other events, so the turnout could have been even larger. Club run leaders should be relieved!

That would be me, Huw Treasure. Thoroughly enjoyed the ride, great to get out for the first time in far too long. Thanks for leading Neil!

Hehe. I've seen a number of spellings so far.

The correct spelling is Couling.

I think its incorrectly spelled on the points board.

I'll do my best to write more clearly .

Thanks. :D
