C run to Charlecote will be approx 58 miles round trip. The outward and return routes are below if anybody would like to have these on a garmin in case we need to split into two groups.

Outward - Return

Current forecast looks dodgy. There's not much scope for reducing the distance to Charlecote so, if the weather's rubbish by the time we get to Lowsonford and doesn't look like brightening up, I'd head to Wootton Wawen instead making a round trip of 35-45 miles depending on whether it had dried up by the time we leave the cafe.

If the weather's poor I'll be turning off the route immediately after the pie pub.

A Run to RAF Cosford, pretty uneventful apart from the utter soaking on the way out. We managed to avoid any repeat precipitation all the way home. Slight grumbles about the lack of hot food at the RAF cafe, didn't have food on until 12, but they did have a doorstop like lump of greasy sausage roll which plenty of people gave a good seeing to.
Only 1 visit from the **flat** fairy, who took a liking to Mr Hey's wheel at the top of St.Kenelms pass.

James Tate (L)
Nick Shenton (who says he's a knob!!!)
Matt Clegg
Laurence Cooley
Ian Simpson
Robin Kirkham
Paul Knox
Alistair Hey

Cheers James for a good route today. We were never far from places I'd been before, but I still didn't know lots of the lanes.

Oh, and you've missed Alistair off the register.

On the B run today...

Matthew Hale (L)
Paul Johnson
Phil Gameson
Alan Weaver
Doug Smith
Paul Wrightson

Hope I got the names correct.

A good group, although finished with 4 after Alan and Doug had had enough of the hills and turned off early ;)

A few hairy descents in the wet, especially from Alan 'kamikaze' Weaver and one **flat**.

Thanks all

Good ride today, thanks guys. Now other than the lesson learnt about descending on wet unfamiliar roads, the other lesson learnt today is when Paul Johnson says its pancake, don't believe him!! And while the ups and downs were taking its toll on my old poor legs after yesterdays trashing, I did promise Mrs W that I would be back by lunch time.

Alan was this the same ride that a certain Greg Thompson got a little excited on a decent?

No that was another occasion when someone else provided the light entertainment!
