I'd like to provisionally volunteer to lead the B run to Spetchley on 5 July.

Will try to confirm availability by the end of the week.

I'll take the A run on the 2nd Aug for a 100 miler to Cannock Chase Forestry Centre.

Out via Kinver - Halfpenny Green - Penkridge and back via a similar track. Roughly 1800m of ascent but no big hills.

We'll practically go past this on the 100 mile C run so I'll assess whether it would be an attractive option instead of the golf club....

Dear Beacon RCC,
My name is Sue Hearn and I am a cyclist with Solihull CC.
We are organising an event in July that your club members or their families may be interested in attending. Maybe whilst they are out on a club run or individually perhaps. All are welcome and I do hope that you can support this great cause.
I have put the details below and would be very grateful if you could circulate amongst your members please. If more than a few plan to attend then it would be best if you could let me know approximate numbers and timings please just so that we can cater efficiently for everyone.

Cream Tea Event
Sunday 12th July 2015 10am – 3.30pm
Come along and join us for some delicious homemade scones!
All welcome - cyclists, walkers or those who just love a Sunday tea!
Kington & Dormston Village Hall, Cockshot Lane, Dormston WR7 4LB.

The hall is located between Dormston Lane and Park Crescent on Cockshot Lane. If you are hoping to attend as a large group please let us know approx. numbers in advance

Sue 01564 770428 or Steve 01386 793674

All proceeds in aid of Manisha UK, a charity in Nepal

Thinking about it Pete, I'll stick to the golf club. We won't otherwise get any proper food until after 70 miles and I can't do 70 miles on a scone and an ice cream.

I'll move my B run on the 16/8 to 9/8 because of the Beacon road race.

The 4th October C ride will go to Leamington for the cycle café. See this post for more details

http://www.beaconrcc.org.uk/message_boa ... highlight=

Those who wish too can stay on to watch the last classic of the season, make their own way back or if required I will lead riders back

I will ensure that every half decent bump between the Black Horse and Leamington is visited which will really start from the actual Beacon itself.

Out

Quickish way back using mainly minor roads and cycle paths.

You can get back much quicker if you want on the main road. There is also a train service ( of sorts) on Sundays back to town

23 August ride to Bewdley, via Clent and Arley return via Trimpley and Lickey Beacon as ever to finish.
Riverside café or the station if that's to busy ( and we want to see some trains :D Don't think I have took a ride up Horseshoe Lane yet , other climbs you should all be used to by now and fly up on the big cog.

Don't forget it's the hill climb on 13th September - normally there are various short rides afterwards, some following the traditional visit to the Waseley Hills cafe and some no further than that cafe.

We need a leader for the C run this Sunday (6th).

I'll take the A run to Edge Hill on 20th Sept, looping back to Kineton for the cafe stop at 'The coffee shop'. Route based on the one Paul Johnson used for the B run on 30th August - thanks Paul!

Update... Instead of returning to Kineton for the cafe stop, I might head onto the National Herb centre. Will post the route before the weekend.

I'm going on holiday in a couple of days - it would be nice to see the remaining slots for September filled before I go.

Leaders needed for B and C runs this Sunday. Quite a lot of people have ridden 10 or more times with the club this year and never led - why not give it a go?
