Club runs - 21st February

Again, great to see 37 riders and a Coventry footballing legend out on the 3 club runs on Sunday. The cold is obviously not a hindrance to turning up, just rain!

Anyway, it's the Sunrise/Snowdrop Audax this Saturday where many Beacons riders will be riding, but club run volunteers for the day after are still welcome.

A-ride looks a bit tasty for those fancying a double-header

A: Hilly Malvern 100 miler - Alistair Hey...starts at 08:15
B: Wyre Forest Café - Philip Whiteman
C: Volunteer required

Don't forget, there is also the AeroCoach 10mile TT on the K34/10D course on Sunday at 10am...Beacon members who haven't rode a TT before can ride for free. See the facebook page for more details...

Given my lack of fitness plus post-event exhaustion and will forego Alistair's excellent plan. So I will take the B Run to the Wyre Forest Cafe at B run pace.

Out via Wolverley; Return via Heightington and Chaddesley. Depart at 09.15. The weather forecast is dry, mild and windy.

No C run leader came forward in advance, so Andy Wrightson stepped up on the day. Not bad considering he managed 100miles yesterday!

He's asked me to put the list of names on here as he still can't write on the message board for some strange reason!

Anyway, it was a lumpy 52 miles to lavender hall fisheries for the following riders (apologies for any incorrect spelling of names, I had a poor quality photo of a scrap of paper to go off!)

Andy Wrightson (L)
Mark Gardner
Mark McConky
Colin Hall
Kenny Holmes
Dale Finnegan
Dave little
Giovanni del Vecchio

Please note that I am also available for other secretarial work. But my rates aren't cheap!

Not a big turnout for the Malvern 100 miler. Not surprising given the wind out there today and the Audax yesterday.

Chapeau. It was tough out there today in that wind.

We managed to avoid the steep climbs through the forest, so not too bad.

Being dead is no block to a bit of quality cycling.

Ah, that explains why he looked so unwell after the 22% climb out of Ribbesford Ford.
