Club Runs - Sunday 1st January

Post by WorcsPhil » 19 Dec 2016 16:50

The Beacon committee employed a consultancy at a cost of £17,450 to investigate whether a New Year's Day club run would be worthwhile and the Consultancy concluded "What the hell" so we'll go with it.

So, whether you're out till 3am on the skank, or go the bed after the News, why not start the year with a jaunt into the rural Midlands....and again, we have a full listing of leaders, with all ride leaving at 09:15

Note, that not all cafes will be open, so please check before posting here...

The New Year's Day rides are:

A: Beacon Burst 48 miler (no café stop) back by noon - Phil Richards
B: Beacon Burst 50 miler (no cafe stop) - Paul Johnson
C: Halfpenny Green - Andy Wrightson

if anyone posts a Beacon Burst ride, anyone else is allowed to lead a café stop ride also...so feel free to do that

Happy New Year everyone. May 2017 be measured in personal bests, new adventures and zero accidents.

Unfortunately it looks as though I will have to pull out of leading Sunday's B run to Worcester woods due to unforseen circumstances :(

Here's the Beacon Burst A-run route...48 miles, pretty flat so you should be home by 11:59am, bladders permitting.

I'll do a B run beacon burst about 50 miles out via Tardebigge back via Droitwich.

If anyone fancies a non-burst club run, I'll be joining the B burst at Tardebigge and peeling off at some point to Worcester Woods for a cafe stop, then back via Droitwich, Shenton's Hedge and Fairfield.
