Club runs - 19th Feb

Enough! We've had 7 weeks of club runs this year, and horrible conditions on 6 of those 7, so congratulations to the dirty dozen who braved the arctic conditions on Sunday and mustered at the Black Horse. Particular kudos to Nick Shenton and Si Walker for stepping up and leading at short notice, you both deserve quadruple points!

Anyway, Thomas Schaffernacker has promised an end to all this nonsense, so with popular leaders and double figure temperatures, why not re-acquaint yourselves with club runs and turn out in droves this Sunday.

It's been a long time since this week's leaders actually volunteered, so hopefully it's still ok...Full set of leaders now!! This week's rides are:

A: Charlecote - Jess Rhodes-Jones (probably)
B: Cobhouse Fisheries - Nick 'Supersub' Shenton
C: Leamington - Helen Jamieson

...and one of these weeks, wouldn't it be great if all three club rides had female leaders?

Kind words indeed Mr Richards!
B run will be about 62 miles and 4500ft climbing, weather will hopefully be better than it has been and it's 6 items of brekkie for £3.50! What more could you want?

Phil Elwell
Alan Weaver
Chis Ashford
Nathan Cardon
Ryan Evanson
Andy Wrightson
Gareth Toddington
Andy "Quintana" Terry

Dave "Silver medal, Silver Fox" Hughes
Jamie Dennis
Simon Woodward (New rider)

George Barker - Met us at the cafe

Apologies again to the 4 riders that were dropped just before the cafe.

Actually the four riders were dropped some miles before the café. With large groups it is difficult for the leader to know if there is a problem at the back, so if anyone else realises that others are getting dropped they need to let the leader. This applies particularly when the those at the back are about to disappear from view.
The four of us made our way back (at my suggestion), with Clive having problems when the cleats on his second shoe failed to release too.

Great C run to leaminton. There were 17 of us so we split into 2 groups, meeting up at the cafe. A couple of minor mechanicals and a constantly slipping seat post, but other than that, it was non eventful. We also had a total of 6 women on the C run today, which was fantastic!

Helen Jamieson (leader)
Mark mcconkey
Si 'likes lemon balls' Turner
Si walker (took the second group)
Colin 'too much lube on the seat post' Hall
Kyle gatier
Natalia barroso
Dave cox
Mark Russell
Sarah dowden (new rider)
Adrian McHugh
Claire fudge
Nathan burton
Leonie Balter
Neil Evanson
Dave Little/Small
Gemma Johnson

Don't forget to get kit orders to Andy asap, but Tuesday at the very very latest.

Yes thanks Helen - well paced run, good company and it was great to be welcomed by a massive reserved table! Even if we did overwelm the staff with some many orders! Also very useful to learn that neat route into and out of Leamington.
