No club runs on Sept 3rd

Hi all,
let's hope the weather gods will give us a few more Sundays like that one. Perfect conditions saw three contrasting rides so thanks to Chris Ashford for leading a quite splendid 220kms club ride to Towcester (the long way), Paul Johnson for a run down to Cobhouse and the 6-items breakfast, and George Barker for the inaugural Eroica + C-ride club run to Spetchley. It was great to see the strava pictures of the old bikes being ridden out, and it was clearly a popular ride to join as it broke the record for the single most amount of people on one club run (24) this year...great stuff, George, hopefully this will be an annual event.
Elsewhere, Jess Rhodes-Jones is worthy of a mention winning a rainbow jersey in France in her age category...fantastic stuff, Jess, and there is a financial fine if she doesn't wear it on her next club run. Pretty cool if Jess leads a club run in a World Champion jersey, eh?
Unfortunately, there are no club runs this week as Beacon are organising a round of the West Midlands cyclocross, so please try to go along, or even better, volunteer to marshall, or even betterer, ride in one of the races!
Club runs return on September 10th, and we have Neil Orchard leading so that couldn't be more of a draw if we tried.
Enjoy your week
Phil
