No club runs on 17th September

A healthy 31 riders out on Sunday dodging the showers and professional cyclists hogging the road near Malvern. Thanks to Neil, Phil and Matt for leading this week. I've had a word with the refreshment hut at British Camp and they have confirmed that they will stock macchiatos and aubergine wraps from now on, which is about time, I hear you cry.
There are no club runs this coming Sunday as it is the renowned Beacon Hill climb championship up Winwood Heath Road in Romsley.
Why not enter, cheer the competitors or go along to watch quietly and snigger at their pain...I hear the surface is a little testing this year so if anyone owns a 14 tonne road sweeper, how's the time to declare it...but it may be best to start the sweep at the top.
Enjoy the event, club runs back the following week, but reminders are hereby given that that is the date of the VeloBirmingham, so if you've not entered why not volunteer to lead a club run heading south or east to avoid the closed roads and the controversy.
