No Clubs runs on 15th April due to LMTT

No club runs this coming Sunday as it is the prestigious Little Mountain Time Trial from Shelsley Walsh...this is one of Beacon's biggest events, and if you can help out, then please let Dave Cole know via the other thread, facebook, pigeon or even write him a letter, but probably best via the first two of these options, as he is after a few more marshals. Good luck to all riders!

We had 21 riders plus the roaming George Barker out at the weekend, where it stayed dry in the west, but drizzly for those who headed east. Thanks to Paul and Si for leading the two rides, and what fun they were. The big issue on the A-ride was bacon etiquette and whether it is acceptable to tear off and remove the bacon fat before consuming the sandwich. First world problem, we accept, but worthy of wider debate in the media. The Nationals have picked up this story...

...Plenty of other things going on, with at least 3 riders on the Hell of the North Cotswolds sportive, and many others out for a spin before settling down to watch Paris-Roubaix. The racing season is off and running and good to see John Hunt (and possibly others) out at the Birmingham Business Park race day, and Jess/Xav continuing their TT world tour and hoovering up podium places wherever they go.

Unfortunately, as well as the LMTT, the re-scheduled Mad March Hare sportive is also this Sunday and there are over 16 Beacons riders on the start line...be good if we see the Beacon tricolore showing prominently there also.

Have a good week all.

There were at least three members racing on road/crit yesterday morning too. A busy morning!
