Club runs - 16th September

no club runs last Sunday, but lots of Beacon riders out and about. It was both the opening round of the CX season in Redditch and with Beacon hosting this round, thanks to Gary Mac for organising and all the marshals who turned out to help.
It was also the Beacon hill climb championships of course, and congrats to David McCann for retaining his trophy in a hard fought competition, where only 10 seconds separated the first three Beacon riders. David Fellows from Solihull won the event but strong Beacon riders followed him up, and congrats to Matt Clegg and Mark Patton also for being 2nd and 3rd Beaconite up the hill.
Sunday afternoon then saw the Midlands 10 mile TT championships, with Jess Rhodes-Jones taking the title with Gemma Johnson also on the podium in third. Matt Clegg also rode the TT as well as the hill climb and was fastest road bike champion with Beacon also picking up the team trophy...a great days work.
so back to club runs...we have no ride leaders as yet, but I'm sure some will climb out of the undergrowth, blinking into the sunlight, look up, and say "1'll do that...because I can"
This week's rides will therefore hopefully fill up in the week...
A: Malvern - Paul Johnson (meet at 08:00 for 08:15 depart)
B: Clows Top - Simon Woodward
C: Stourport - Pete Norman
