I've just been reading an article in Octane magazine about a successful attempt on the world cycling speed record during which Denise Mueller-Korenek raised to record to 183.932mph/296.01kph.
The writer of the article states that "Mueller-Korenek knew it would be practically impossible to accelerate up to that speed just by pedalling".
Well there you are , I never realised that.
