Club Runs - 21st July
Posted: 15 Jul 2019 09:37
Anyone for cricket? Wow, what a game to come home from a club run to, let's get a Beacon cricket game together, quick! Feel sorry for Djokovic playing possibly one of the greatest finals beating Federer but happening on a day of bigger news...same goes for Lewis Hamilton. A great Sunday of sport made only better by perfect cycling conditions out on the four club runs last weekend.
So, yes, four club runs, the Beacon bursts are proving very popular so be good to keep them going, especially with the Kidderminster Killer and Clee to Heaven Beacon audaxes this coming Saturday, Sunday lends itself to a Burst or two at different speeds.
Sorry to hear of some dissension on the B-ride this week, but it reiterates to listen to and act on calls from other riders, and yes, if there is a call of "single out" on dangerous busy rides, then let's please do so...the main call on the A-ride was to tone the language down please (you know the culprit! )
Anyway, let's be a well-organised set of riders on club runs, it makes it safer for all.
As I said, this coming Saturday is a day of big audax rides, so club riders may be a bit thin on the ground on Sunday, so if you're not riding, or fancy doubling up, why not come forward an volunteer to lead a shorter club run than normal this week...you know it makes sense. This week's rides are:
Beacon Burst at A-Run pace - Stuart White
A: Honeybourne - Paul Johnson
B: Volunteer required
C: Volunteer required
