Many thanks to Nick for stepping running a Beacon Burst yesterday which was small but perfectly formed.

Next week:

A Run - Cobhouse Fisheries - Phil Richards (09:15 start as normal)...whatever the weather!!!
B Run - Clows Top - Alex Rybinski
C Run - Worcester Country Park - Finbarr Costigan

Given the forecast of potentially very wet conditions for this weekend I have amended the A Run destination and will lengthen or shorten the route based upon conditions.

Due to acute viral rhinopharyngitis, I doubt that I will be in a sufficiently fit state to lead Sunday's A run. Plus the weather looks like pants.

Phil, I'm happy to lead the A-ride to Cobhouse whatever the weather, it looks an improving picture in my rose-tinted world.

Willing to lead a C run. Seems to be a "window" of dry weather between 9 and 1.We shall see

So I have a 50 mile route of my own in mind. Pete Norman if you are coming tomorrow we could go to Worcester Country park??

See whose around tomorrow and then take it from there

This is the straightforward route to Cobhouse tomorrow.

Note that as the weather now looks to be almost approaching ok... then me and maybe others are riding to Cobhouse for breakfast and then instead of routing home on this route will extend by riding another totally spurious 60kms route towards Hereford, so riders can do this metric century route or extend for an imperial century ride. Your choice :D .

If the weather is less than awful I can lead a B run (it would be my first time leading so I would rather not lead if the weather is truly dreadful). I'll post destination or route later but it will be around 60miles.

Proposed route for a B run tomorrow, cafe stop at either Colliers at Clows Top or Wyre Forest Cafe.

Well, the weather wasn't as bad as forecast...no rain on the A-run ride down to Cobhouse, albeit many lanes were flooded, and we all enjoyed puddle riding at speed, especially Ade 'Mr Cross' Ravenscroft. Thanks all for turning up.

On the A-ride today were...in alphabetical order:

Dina Asher Smith
Finbarr Costigan
Neil Orchard
Adrian Ravenscroft
Phil Richards (Leading)
Alex Rybinski
Nick Shenton
Vince Tennant
Andy Wrightson
