Club Runs - November 3rd
Posted: 28 Oct 2019 13:11
26 riders out on Sunday in sky's so blue, it made your eyes water. Plenty of puddles about, including one on the A-ride which was so deep, it reached your ankles, and anyone with no momentum would have fallen in...unfortunately no one did!
Thanks to Phil Richards (me), Phil Elwell and Simon 'Phil' Turner for leading the three rides... and having three leaders meant a pretty much even split of riders on the three Beacon club rides, good stuff.
...and so we venture into November, full of fog, dodgy moustaches, and winter bikes. We're still in Europe so to celebrate/commiserate (delete as appropriate), we're offering four rides this coming Sunday, which includes an Intro ride. For those not familiar with these, they are introductory rides for people just getting into cycling and unsure what to expect on a club ride, or even a gentler ride for those more experienced, in any case publicise these monthly rides around your social circle if you will...
No leaders yet, but hopefully, they will fill up as the week progresses. I always like to see people volunteer for future weeks...just post to the October/November/December thread...come on A-riders - get your name down, plenty of regulars riding now who should suggest a week when you're free to lead.
A: Destination TBC - Nick Shenton
B: Volunteer required
C: Finbarr Costigan Leading to Hillers using this route - https://ridewithgps.com/routes/9588045
Intro ride: Avoncroft museum café - Dave Cox
