Club Runs - 26th January

Amazingly 14 riders ventured out into the frosty, tundra wastelands on Sunday on the two club runs that survived the weather. Sensibly, the two leaders chose gritted roads to get to the café - very sensible!

Thanks to Andy Wrightson and Simon Woodward for leading these rides.

So, onwards and upwards...what an opportunity we all have this week, as there are no leaders announced yet, so this is a good week for you to jump up and shout 'me, me, me'... errr, that's you, you, you, not me, me, me :D ...so how about it?

This weeks' rides will fill up in the week, no doubt, but here's your opportunity...

A: Blackminster - Nick Shenton
B: Beacon Burst (no cafe stop) - Neil Orchard
C: Alcester - Pete Norman

This Sunday's A Run re-visits the scene of the original "tomatogate", Blackminster.

Should our glorious club run secretary join us please be aware the sheer sight of a tomato presented to him may result in some incredible hulk style rage. You have been warned!!!

Have you been on a course? Now I don't want to come across as overly politically correct but you should not limit your critique to tomatoes as other fruit or vegetable products may cause an equal adverse reaction.

I'll be there...looking forward to the banter.

...and who ever heard of a café, upon taking an order of a 'bacon sandwich on toasted bread', unilaterally decide to load it also with toxic, rancid tomatoes. It was simply not cricket. :D

....and as usual, please can we have a B and C ride leader please, just post here and receive the virtual rapturous applause that your post will generate.

Would have loved to come along but got a punc'ture about 400 yds in; shouted forward twice at the back but no-one heard :( Ah well, maybe next week.

Sorry Rich, we noticed at the lights in Longbridge that you'd dropped off, no one had heard your call.
