Club Runs - 16th February
Good Grief, that was a bit blowy on Sunday, wasn't it? ...and remarkably we still had three club runners out to complement the 7 riders who sensibly rode on Saturday.
It may be prudent to remind people at this point that you ride on club runs thorough your own choice, Beacon accepts no liability for flying trampolines, fence panels or other paraphernalia interrupting a club run!
Anyway, everyone who rode on Saturday or Sunday gets club run points.
So, we move onto another week. The A-ride this week will be textbook, and to a destination so enchanting, South Korea will make a film about it one day, so why not come along. I'm sure a B and C ride leader will also step forward this week as these opportunities don't come along every week This is the right time of the year for Beacon Bursts to be proposed, so come on, all you racers and time trialists, suggest it...
This week's rides are:
A: Stay in and vacuum your lounge
B: Volunteer required
C: Volunteer required

Re: Club Runs - 16th February
anyone going out Saturday morning before the winds for a ride?
Re: Club Runs - 16th February
Given the shocking forecast on Sunday, I won’t be leading this week, but will lead next week.
Even Saturday looks appalling, so it could be a good week to get that decorating or spring clean done. If you do go out, then keep it short and take care.
The rivers looked very high on Thursday, so it is highly likely all the Worcestershire rivers will flood this weekend.
See you on the other side.

For those that are still undecided about tomorrow, I'll be at the Black Horse in the morning.
We can work out where we're going and at what pace once we're there.
Come on, get out into the real world and throw that turbo away!
Otherwise we'll need to change the name to the Beacon fair weather and indoor cycling club!

A much better turnout this week for storm Dennis.
We headed South to Upton Snodsbury. The roads were a bit wet in places with many of the floods coming above the bottom bracket. The only other problem was my slow **flat** which I finally sorted at the cafe
Today's intrepid riders were
Helen Colson
Jacques Cousteau
George Thorne
Simon Woodward (Leading)
Andy Wrightson

It's a good job we never went to Evesham as I suggested si although with some of the floods and torrents we went through today it wouldn't have been much deeper in the river aha.
The most fun iv had on a bike in a while lol
