CLUB RUN SCORES UP TO AND INCLUDING SUNDAY 13TH SEPT

Post by WorcsPhil » 18 Sep 2020 17:07

Hi all,

with just two weeks to go in this strangest of all club run seasons, we have a runaway leader, Si Walker, and unless there is some herculean skullduggery by me, is likely to win the club run trophy this year :D … Si will be formally anointed in early October...

A full listing of everybody who has been on a club run this season starting last October, but obviously with 4 months missing from March - July is below...If you disagree with your scores, let me know as I do like to keep accurate records.

Nope... only top points

There is no need to differentiate male and female for club runs!

I don't know - I can see an argument in favour of having a women's club runs trophy. It would recognise that we've not been great at attracting female riders to club runs in the past, we only have one trophy despite the fact that clubs runs are the most popular of the club's activities, and there's an argument that more of the burden of childcare falls on women, so they're less likely to be able to ride every week. But then obviously not all female members have children, and some men have childcare barriers too, which complicates that. Maybe we can discuss it at the next committee meeting.
