New Normal Club Runs - Sunday 18th October

Post by WorcsPhil » 12 Oct 2020 10:09

We timed that nice day well, eh? A lovely autumnal day saw another 6 club runs going out, so thanks to Mariana/Pete, Si Woodward, Fenella, Neil O, and Gemma/Stu for leading a wide range of rides. Don't forget, if you fancy riding and your ride is full, then why not post that you will lead an overflow ride...invariably, you will get people joining you.

...and so, we move on a week, hopefully using the same rules as always unless Boris changes things today...

It's Philip Whiteman's Montgomery Madness Beacon Audax this Saturday, which may take a few riders away from riding on Sunday, so good look to all the Madness riders! Enjoy White Grit!! :D

Usual bit here, post on a SEPARATE thread if you can lead this coming weekend, and mark as RIDE FULL when you get to six.

Hi Phil,

Is there a likely change to cafe stops on a group ride following the announcement by Boris yesterday?

thanks

Matt, I think Phil is planning to make an announcement, but in the interim:
The Committee discussed this virtually yesterday and decided that, until the situation changes, indoor café stops are not allowed for Birmingham and Solihull (and Sandwell?) residents. However, Beacon Bursts may continue, as may club runs with outdoor stops, providing that the rule of six is followed.

Thanks George...that was inline with my interpretation of the latest guidelines.

Lets hope some for good weather for these outdoor café stops!
