Even newer normal club runs - Sunday 1st November

Spoiler alert: So who watched the Giro and the Vuelta at the weekend?...stirring stuff indeed, and so great to see another British winner, and one who is still only 25, how fate welcomed him after Geraint was hitting the bottle (figuratively speaking)...fingers crossed for a similar result for Hugh Carthy or Dan Martin at the Vuelta.

Onto our own club runs, no less as impressive...but thanks to Ewan, Nick, Si and Phil for leading the four rides on Sunday. It's great that we have volunteers to lead rides, but I note that there wasn't a C-ride leader this week, despite a very healthy number of riders wanting to ride at C-ride pace. Be good if we can get rides at A, B and C pace every week, so why not volunteer if there isn't one - with six riders max, and limited café stops, it's never been easier to lead a ride.

Also, I heard we had a crash on one of the rides, but thankfully, no serious injuries. Reminds us again, of course, that as the lanes get muddier, the leaves get slippier and our legs get wearier, we need to be as careful as we can as we ride along... but, accidents will inevitably happen from time to time, so good to hear that the rider is ok.

As we move into November, we are still in a mixture of Tier 1 and Tier 2, so remember, please no indoor café stops until Birmingham/Solihull/Sandwell etc moves back to Tier 1 (that's anyone's guess)

Post in another thread details of your ride if you can lead this week.
