Club runs for the weekend of 11th April

Post by WorcsPhil » 05 Apr 2021 13:31

Hi all,

fantastic to see nearly 30 riders out on the 5 club runs over the weekend...the weather was great and the messages on Strava about how good it was to be back riding in a group were heart warming.

Also at the weekend, there were nearly 50 riders for the first of the Beacon RCC Time Trials, so congrats to Gemma and all the volunteers who publicised this and ran it on the day...some fantastic times, rumours of a new course record and a healthy number of Beacon riders participating...well done all. By the way, nearly all of the volunteers at the TT were committee members...don't forget, anyone can volunteer to help at these events, don't rely on the committee members to do everything!

Anyway, back to this coming weekend, normal rules apply, if you can lead, please post in a separate thread with details of your ride, stagger start times, or even volunteer to ride on Saturday if that's better for you, and mark as RIDE FULL when you get to six riders including yourself.

No cafe sitting this weekend, but hopefully they will be open for outside gatherings the weekend after.

Hi all,

slight change to the rules in that we have agreed that the maximum number of riders for club runs that do not stop is raised to 8 to accommodate new members wanting to come along.

Please keep to six if a cafe/takeaway is planned, as this is the limit when stopped. If for any reason you end up with more than that, due to an unscheduled arrival, then please break into two groups, and do NOT sit/stand together at the takeaway/cafe
