Club Runs on Sunday May 2nd weekend

Post by WorcsPhil » 26 Apr 2021 14:21

The star of last weekend was the Little Mountain Time Trial, Beacon's national event which attracted 135 riders from all over the country. Huge congratulations to the organisers, John Hitchcock, Ian Taylor, Keith Adcock and Simon Dighton, who was incidentally Beacon's fastest rider on the day. Also, great thanks to Chris Hudson (chief marshal), and all those that gave up their time to marshal at the junctions, take photos or time-keep...and of course not forgetting the riders themselves who endured two climbs of Stanford Bank on a re-arranged course after late roadworks scuppered the original route. Well done all! Events such as these are a testament to the organising culture of Beacon, and everyone should be either very tired or very proud today.

Anyway, back to this week's club runs...usual procedure, limited to SIX please unless it is a non-stop Beacon Burst, where the limit is EIGHT. Please can people post a separate thread on your suggestions if you can lead this week, with details of starting time, venue and pace and mark as RIDE FULL, when you reach the magic number.

It's the first Sunday in May, so there will be an Intro ride this week, so round up your friends and those new to cycling and tell them about it...all will be posted on this Club run part of the message board later on...

Enjoy!

We have 2 A-rides, 2 C-rides and an Intro ride this week for your delectation

Any riders wishing to lead a B-ride would be welcome to complete the set...why not step forward and receive the roars of gratitude from the crowd?
