Sunday 16th May - RIDE FULL - C run burst (NO CAFE STOP) 50 miles South loop - 9:10 depart.

Post by CeGi » 12 May 2021 20:47

Chris' C-ride being now full, I will add another one in case more people are interested.

The route will be a loop heading south and can be viewed here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/35686129.
There will be no sit down café stop. We'll stop halfway for at least 5 minutes for a quick nibble and possibly for 10 minutes (15 max) if some really want a hot drink as a take-away (possibly from the Hillers Farm Shop, or from any other take-away place we might get past)..

This means we can have up to 8 riders.
The route being fairly flat, the pace will be 14 mph (and possibly a bit more if we're all up for it) so the ride should last about 3h 1/2.

Meet at the BH at 9am for a 9:10 start latest or earlier if the whole party has arrived.

Took part:
Cedric Gioan (L)
Lewis Singleton
Mark Stammers
Pete Norman
Vincent Tennant
Kamran Anwar
Matt Hale (for the first half)

Hi there , I haven't had a response from the A/B burst ride which was posted ,so if that one is not going ahead could I put myself down for this ride ? I'm not sure what is happening with that ride as I'm the only one who has responded to it. Cheers , George Garvie.

Yep, I saw that both A rides were not very successful this week. I trust Friday's Audax has tired some legs!

You're welcome to join us, as long as you realise that it's more a C+ ride than an A or B.
But you're aware of the risk, if your original ride goes worth, you have to ride both one after the other!
Joke's aside, if James turns out you're welcome to go with him, else it will be a pleasure to have you with us.

Hi Ced, Could I join you tomorrow too? My plan is to turn off towards Long Marston after 20 miles or so, so happy to do my own thing and make way for someone else if they plan to ride with you for the whole route.

Hi Cedric

Is there still room on this ride?

Im new to the club but I did an intro ride a couple of weeks ago now. Should be ok with 13/14mph.

Cheers
Simon

Hi Matt, would have been a pleasure, but now there's seems to be a mad rush in the last hours. 9 people interested and only 8 allowed (not my rule).
Feels bad having to say no to someone.
As you kindly propose to let go for someone doing the whole ride you make my task simpler. If you're around at 9:00 and if James eventually run that A/B ride with Georgie then will be a pleasure. Lots of if.... but you never know

Hi Cederic

Thats very kind. Unfortunately my son has developed a new nasty cough over night, probably just viral but to be sure we've decided to get him a covid test this morning. As a result I should probably give the ride a miss until we have the result. Sorry for messing you around last minute. Look forward to joining another week!

Cheers
Simon
