June's intro ride will be led by myself and Dave Jones. The route will be 32 miles at a gentle pace of 10 to 12 mph or the pace of the slowest rider.

The destination is The View Café in Wootton Wawen via Tanworth-in-Arden and returning via Ullenhall. There can be up to 8 riders and we will split into 2 groups at the café.

This ride will be ideal for newcomers to club cycling or cyclists returning to the sport.

UPDATE: All present and correct on this ride. Many thanks Dave for your support at the back! Met up with George Barker at The View Café and we spread out over 3 outdoor tables. We were also lucky enough to see Mariana's C ride group that sat at a separate table.

I NEED to concentrate on the royalties to avoid paying my indulgences and secure my seat in heaven

On a more serious note Chris,
I saw that you included my favourite hook towards the end to avoid going back on Redhill road for as long as possible.
Just so that you know, the whole of Wasthill lane has recently been resurfaced with that loose gravel cover type. I did climb it Friday afternoon, but it's a bit harder than usual as it affects slightly the grip. It being probably the steepest part of your whole ride, you might want to go and test it, or reroute that bit to avoid their baptism of fire to be to harsh

I believe it is finished.
That's how they leave it. Over time with traffic the gravel gets bedded in (a process which take longer on road with less traffic)

Could you please add my wife who'd like to try a bit club runs before considering joining.

I did not give it some beans, just plodded along up and was fine tonight. Still a bit naughty to take newbies there but nicer that the racing redhill road.

Thanks to all who rode today. I had a great time meeting everyone. There was a good mix of "C" and "D" pace riders.

With this in mind I plan to organise another D pace ride next Sunday so keep an eye out for this
