This is one ride i would have jumped at as its my birthday on that day and it would have been brilliant to ride with you guys again BUT i have to go to a suit fitting on that day as my eldest daughter is getting married in August so I'm afraid, with a heavy heart, i cannot join
Enjoy the day guys and have fun

Hi Dave,
I'm up for this if there's still room. 100 in 8 was my first Beacon event in 1980 something

Hi Dave. Put me down as a reserve please. If it remains full, I'll meet you at one of the cafes. Is there a GPS route somewhere?

Hi Dave,
Assume the run is full, but may be interested if someone drops out, and would only be going to Defford, and pick you up at Tardebigge. Not up to doing 100 miles at the moment, but need to start extending my range. I may sign up to the other C run.

Thanks Dave I also got a bit of protected rider status from Ben on a couple of long drags.
I didn't answer Lewis' question at Revills. The Five Asks from the cycling community put together by Adam Tranter for the West Midlands Mayoral election were :-
1. Pledge to meet the Govt targets to double levels of cycling by 2025 and for 50% of all journeys in West Midlands towns and cities to be walked or cycled by 2030
2. Only commit funding to projects that provide quality active travel provision in line with Local Traffic Note 1/20 guidance. Provision assessed by an independent peer review board with expert advice and user engagement.
3. Sign up to the Vision Zero ambition to eliminate all deaths and serious injuries on the streets of the West Midlands. Work with Local Authorities to enable 20 mph as the default urban speed limit.
4. Support the local implementation of active neighbourhoods . . Launch a publicly stated target and plan to reduce car dependence within West Midlands
5. Appoint an Active Travel Commissioner to lead the West Midlands cycling and walking revolution providing them with the political support and funding to achieve real change.
All the major candidates agreed to this and Andy Street was elected. The task now will be to work to ensure that he delivers on these pledges.
