Weekly Club Update and Club runs for the weekend of 5th December

Weekly Update:
Well, we were sold a dummy there, eh?
Ice, snow, pestilence they said...cancel all rides...it'll be armageddon. but when we woke up on Sunday later than usual as we had all cancelled our plans, it was ice-free, sunny and windless, at least for a while. Never mind, at least we all had time to do some household chores whilst dusting off the turbo, firing up Zwift or buffing up your leatherware (that's not a euphemism
)
Yes, it's winter, but rides are still planned even if sometimes they do get cancelled...is this what cancel culture is that I keep reading about? This week we have the following options for your delectation:
- Midweek rides on Wednesday day, Wednesday evening at the Red Lion and Thursday day from Tardebigge
- A Saturday audax from Tewkesbury
- A full set of club runs on Sunday including the last Intro ride of the year, led by Chris Yan
So why not don your best winter garb (we all paid enough for it, huh?) and get out this week as we enter December and the pre-omicron uncertainty.
Don't forget, it's the Beacon AGM on Thursday 9th December, so come along or Zoom in...more details will be posted this week.
