Intro Rides 2022
After a month off, the year's Intro Ride programme is due to start again in February. We're sticking to the tried and tested formula: first Sunday of the month, thirty miles or so at the pace of the slowest rider, with a café stop. Each run is limited to the two leaders plus six pre-enrolled newcomers. In the unlikely event that there is more demand in a given month, we can look into having two groups.
So, we're looking for a leader and an assistant for each remaining month of the year. New leaders are warmly encouraged to volunteer, but it's probably a good idea to be assistant to an experienced leader at least once before acting as main leader. You're welcome to devise your own route or use one that's been used before. Advice on route planning and pointers to where you can find previous routes are available on request. Laurence will plug each ride on the club website and via our social media channels a couple of weeks beforehand to help you drum up interest. All he needs is a basic outline of your plan.
Leading an Intro Ride is very rewarding and a great way to contribute to the long-term health of the club.

Re: Intro Rides 2022
Come on, everyone! Let's have some volunteers, please, and especially one for Feb, so that we can get publicising it (Intro Rides that are advertised late often have very few participants).

Re: Intro Rides 2022
Sorry; over-hurried editing.
You have both done this before, so I'm assuming you don't really need much support from me. If you do need anything, please shout. Laurence will publicise everything, but you can obviously do your own plugging as well. I've been a bit preoccupied the last couple of months, so we haven't got info to Laurence very early. If we can get details to him a couple of weeks before the date, I think that will help to drum up numbers. Word of mouth is very important as well, I think.
Good luck! Hopefully, I'll be able to drop by at the café and say hello, but that depends on factors such as the work situation at the time.

George I’m busy the 7th august but I can lead an intro ride on the 14th august if you can’t find any volunteers
Re: Intro Rides 2022
Thanks, Mariana. Your offer is much appreciated, but I've got one or two ideas that I need to follow up before responding. Leave it with me.

Re: Intro Rides 2022
I published a BC guided one for Sunday 4th, very similar to an intro in terms of speed and distance. Also available on letsride.
Hopefully I'll have two new guys (from Redditch) coming, one of which coming back after last week.
Feel free to advertise in whichever other channels you think may attract new riders (unfortunately the chilly temperatures will not help us)
