Weekly Club Update and Club runs for the weekend of 3rd April

WEEKLY UPDATE

So was that a record? We had SEVEN club runs heading out at the weekend (and 32 riders), all offering something different...Not only was there an A ride, there was a Saturday B ride, a Sunday afternoon B-ride, and loads of C ride variations, short one, long one, short D ride, and a long D-ride. Good Grief! Surely no one can complain about lack of choice and great to see the photos at the Black Horse of everyone waiting to go...

So thanks to all the leaders, even through two of the rides turned out to be solo efforts, it's putting them out there that counts...

What else happened? The time trial season has started...an excellent 20mile TT started Beacon's season on Saturday and good to see Roger Cutler hammering round again at 25mph+, albeit pipped by someone else on the day :( ...but great to see plenty of Beacon riders supporting the event by riding, marshalling, timekeeping or organising (3 cheers for George Lazenby).. I see the Open Time Trials are also up and running, including the Classic series, which incorporates our own Little Mountain Time Trial in 4 weeks time...get your entries in before the deadline.

With this lovely week of weather we've just had, it was lovely to see the sun glistening off your carbon frames, but we're probably back to the scaffolding bike and 14 layers of clothing this week as the temperatures plummet...enjoy the week, whatever you're doing.

It's the start of a new month, so there is another Intro ride this coming Sunday...look out for details on the message board.

Phil
