A-Ride to Clows Top (Sunday April 3rd, leaving at 09:15)...the Stourport Stingers ride!

I'll take the A-ride this Sunday to Colliers cafe at Clows Top, meet at 09:10 for a depart at 09:15

It's the Tour of Flanders this Sunday, so in tribute to this Classic, I will take the A-ride this week on another classic, the famous Stourport Stingers route. The route is here:

This is simply a disgusting route taking in all the punchy (>12%) climbs I can find, both near Kinver, but more horribly in the Wyre Forest. There are approximately 15 snorters (or stingers) on this route so it's short but fiendish. I expect no one to come along, but worry ye not, I'm an awful climber on these snorters myself, so I'll be panting at the back. A fun day to grind up endless climbs before getting home and watching the pro's do it on the telly.

After climbing the length and breadth of Dartmoor last weekend my legs are still in climbing mode.

Stick me down, I'll meet you in Belbroughton but will peel off before the cafe stop as I need to be back early this Sunday.

A hideous day amongst the stingers of the Wyre Forest. A shortish ride but featuring a dozen or so short, sharp climbs both before and after the cafe. Thanks to the fellow riders, who all climbed excellently, and were:

A great day out, albeit the cafe at Clows Top was very busy, so it was another hour long wait for simple bacon sandwiches....grrrr
