Thats the trouble with having this sort of creature comfort in close proximity to where you live, it somewhat restricts one from venturing out to see the real world.

I am not riding the Meriden 160 but our paths may cross. I am route checking the Cotswold Expedition for George and will passing near Edge Hill during the afternoon.

As I pass, you will be able to tell that I am a randonneur as opposed to a plebiscite Brevet Populaire peasant by my advanced bike handling skills, air of superiority, over-sized saddle bag, body odour and clear appearance of someone who possesses a few social problems.

Well a combination of a late night, a sore throat when I woke up and the fact that it was raining first thing meant a no show for me today.

It was pretty grim this morning and the cold easterly mixed with light rain was far from pleasant. So you would not have missed anything.

I must admit I went out on the Saturday training ride as per usual and with the drizzle and my sore throat, I wasn't sorry.

To be honest, I wished now that I hadn't gone out at all and stayed in the warm.
