Has anyone experienced any difficulties loading GPX to their units?

http://bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx?course=540657

This question relates to the following message:

Sorry to be a pain, I am having problems trying to download your 120k course from bikeroutetoaster.

My Garmin Connect appears to upload then it disappears with a note saying there is a problem.

I have also downloaded to my computer were I am unable to open the file as a message appears ' Fatal Error ' etc.

I've just download the GPX file and could open it OK with GPS Babel, Internet Explorer, Komodo, GPS Utility and Easy GPS, I'd say there's nothing wrong with it.

It has 1704 track points - maybe that exceeds the capacity of the user's Garmin?

Personally, I'd have to filter it down to <500 before transferring to my Garmin.
