Falling Leaves Audax - 100km - 6th October

Post by AlanW » 29 Aug 2013 19:58

This is a great little Audax with a bit of climbing around the Cotswolds, I would 100% recommend it for a great days riding - http://www.aukweb.net/events/detail/13-613/

I agree with Alan, but who would dare otherwise.

If Lisa is on schedule, I will be otherwise engaged that day and will not be able to participate due screaming mother with labour pains, poo and nappies.

I'm planning to enter.

But don't let that put you off.

"Labour pains, poo and nappies" sounds like the Kidderminster Killer all over again

Alan, when I click the route link that you posted, I just get BRT's page headers with ads underneath.

Try THIS

Given that the 6th October was the day that Lisa had been scheduled to drop a sprog. So I now have an exit visa to ride this event with the exception of an ill little Thomas or exhausting night.

It is a nice ride.

Well what a utterly glorious day out on the bike, and thanks to George and Phil for the company.

Great ride. :D

I did wonder what had happened to you, as we seemed to lose contact with you going up Corndean Hill right at the start.

Tough route, especially when you're struggling to keep up with stronger riders, but it's marvellous scenery and it was a beautiful day. Good to chat with everyone, too, during the odd spells when I was close enough. Tried to get a snap of Alan shouldering his bike over the ford in the woods near the end, but it didn't work out.

Yes, it was a tough but great day with fantastic scenery and autumn colours, plus superb weather. Couldn't be better really. I'm convinced the climbs have become longer and steeper since last year, maybe something to do with tectonic plate movement :)

I started the day at Wythall and rode it as a 200km ECE. Started a little late, and along with patchy fog I thought I was going to miss the start, but didn't.
