25th October sees a set of fine audaxes starting from Upton Magna near Shrewsbury. John Hamilton, the organiser, is known for laying on excellent events which use rural roads to picturesque locations. The only downside, they are usually hilly.
It would be great to see some Beacon riders.
202km Beyond Shropshire:- Upton Magna - Coalbrookdale - Ludlow - Llandrindod Wells - Clunungford - Upton Magna. Considerably hilly in parts with a fearsome ascent over The Long Mynd.

80km A Shropshire Lad:- Upton Magna - Jasamine Cottage - Acton Scott - Upton Magna
