I entered many years ago but DNS'd due to snow the night before the event. It was in the day's when everybody used paper route sheets so no GPX I'm afraid. It looked like a no-frills event with a fairly basic route sheet, choose your own control in Malvern (a few options were suggested) and finish in a pub leaving your card behind the bar if I recall correctly. Route looked pleasant enough I believe.

I rode this two or three times about 10 years ago. It's a curate's egg of a route: some lovely bits and some tedious bits. A couple of really tough climbs, but also some pretty flat sections. Like all Gavin Greenhow's events, it has a very friendly/homely atmosphere, but is a little lacking in polish. I don't think cafés are quite as important to Gavin as they are to me.

Ive never ridden one of Gavins events, but from others have said this is my understanding. But that is reflected in the cost of course, £3 to enter.

On another note, has anyone noticed that the price to enter some Addaxes has started to creep upwards? They are certainly more popular these days, so now fearful that they will follow the same cost path as Sportives have.

I'm entered now - in addition to the other local audaxes, the weekend before and the weekend after.
