I'll believe it when I see it. Birmingham council couldn't find their arse with both hands let alone organise an event on the scale of the Ronde Sportive with all the road closures etc... I expect them to announce a big plan, there to be huge protests from retailers and other groups, then the course will be announced as a watered down version, perhaps laps of a circuit. Anyone who thinks this will be like RideLondon is going to be sadly disappointed.
This is great. I wonder who's behind it? The advert doesn't suggest it's the council. I share the see it when believe it view but the preview and planned launch at Cycle show suggests it's being done by someone who knows what they are doing. Fingers crossed I can make the date and hope there's a family version or shorter low age entry point too.
