Anyone else from the Beacon doing l'etape this year?

No, but planning on going to see the penultimate stage (Albertville to Val Thorens)...gonna try and watch on the Cormet de Roselend. Hoping to be riding 25-28th Jul, based in Saint Gervais.

Have you got accommodation sorted?

No but enjoy it. Did it in 2010, the Contador v Schleck dodgy steak fueled Tourmallet stage! Was a great experience, got round ten mins inside time limit! 3500 people didn't :shock:

Indeed we have - staying in Val Thorens in some rather brutalist ski resort accomodation!

Doesn't surprise me! This route has 4,500m of climbing spread over 3 climbs - the last being 30km of Val Thorens. Wouldn't be surprised if plenty of people get caught by the wagon on that.
