The EntryCentral site is still down and the entry link on the HONC website has not been activated either, so there is now a large number of people not happy than they cannot enter.
To be honest, it was always going to end in tears when you have 1200+ riders trying to enter on a Saturday afternoon.

Surely Entrycentral's servers, as a commercial company can cope???
Or at least they should...I kept getting a pop up error message, something to do with a script.
I think I'm in (first time I've ridden it) but I bet there are a lot of very, very annoyed people, I only found the entry link via Twitter.

I have people texting me that have been trying to enter for over two hours and still no luck.Ed Moss wrote:Surely Entrycentral's servers, as a commercial company can cope???

If you have been successful then you will get a conformation e-mail pretty much straight away, if you haven't then check your spam box.
But if you still haven't received that mail, then I suspect that your entry has failed.

Well according to the Entry Central site, entries have now been closed with only 677 out of the 1250 possible places taken?
Previous to this I had managed to enter my lad, I made the payment and his name is now showing on the list, but no e-mail yet?
UPDATE
The e-mail just arrived nearly 3/4hr after the payment was made, something has seriously gone wrong with this lot today and that's a fact!!

Glad thats all over and well done to the Dightons, first youth and 2 finishes inside the top 10.
Dad was 11th but you can all be assured I've given him lots of advise, mainly, get a proper off road bike.
Not sure where Chris and Andy finished.
Course this year was just a "bit" muddy, my shoes are currently in the washing machine.
First time I've ridden it, great course, managed to stay well out of trouble after a massive effort up the first climb, ended up somehow finishing 1st in the 50k ride

What a nightmare, it seemed like quite a good idea last year when I suggested riding with my lad and missus on the 50km, you know family time and all that.
Never again...........
The lad has only ridden 7 miles since Christmas and the missus had lost the plot before we got to the first climb at Hails Abbey.
But I have to give credit where credit is due, they both completed it, with some words of encouragement from me a lot of the time.
