Thursday Night Rides
A couple of years ago Andy Nott, Chris Robertson and Myself used to what can only be described as a training ride to get people from Intro ride to C and even B ride pace, It was a fast as the slowest person, some weeks 10 mph the next it could be 17mph average for the 25 miles.
We used to start from the man in the moon. Would anyone be interested in taking part ?

Looks a good route - I think it just misses Weatheroak Hill as you'll turn left right at the top! I think it's 16% so a decent leg-tester if you fancy heading up it one day.paul.farrell wrote:I'll see you at 7 Pat I know most of the roads but have never been up or down weather oak hill ( to my knowledge) looking forward to it, if nothing else it will get me away from the dreadful "Dead Enders"

Just got back from the first Thursday ride and really enjoyed it. Great route and enjoyed the company, cheers to both Pat and Paul. We're going to keep it going Charlotte so you'd be welcome to join us (the more the merrier) and like Pat said earlier in this thread:
"It was a fast as the slowest person, some weeks 10 mph the next it could be 17mph average for the 25 miles.'"

Just reading the Beacon Bulletin where these rides are mentioned....."Anyone who'd like to join in is invited to register an interest via the message board or contact Pat McCabe."
Pat came off on the C run yesterday and has fractured his arm so I don't think these will continue unless someone can join us. This week Thursday 13th Pat was not going to be able to make it, and neither can I.
