Cotswalds Tour

Post by Si-D » 09 Jul 2013 09:12

Went out yesterday on a bit of an epic journey from Stratford down into the heart of Cotswalds country.
To ensure a complete change of scenery and allow me to venture out much further than usual I threw the bike in the car and drove down to Stratford Greenway. Free parking only 2 miles out of town, and you're straight onto the gravelled cycle path which takes you south into the lanes without having to navigate busy roads and traffic.
I utilised the first half of the Beacon Audax route from Long Marston, but took a different route back to reduce the mileage a bit.
82 glorious miles in total, 4500ft of climbing, and some stunning views along the way.
Highly recommended.
