Post by Mark Patton » 04 Jan 2014 06:14

Anyone fancy a bit of a climbing challenge 2014 entry ballot for Fred Whitton has now opened until 11th January. Myself and Phil Richards are entering the ballot, anyone else fancy joining us ?

Will check it out but probably not. I entered 2years ago but didn't get a spot. I fancy Etape du Dales at some point too, best 100+ miles of roads in Britain I reckon.

That ride sounds good Tim, same weekend as Fred Whitton. Could do as a plan B if I don't get a place

Yep Etape du Dales 260 places left at the moment, it normally sells out v quick although price is pretty high now.

Can't commit till the Fred whitton ballot is pulled as there same weekend. Just speaking to my mate Will who is also supposed to be riding it with me also. Think if we don't make the ballot gonna head down and ride the route another weekend near the time. They offer a self timed version of the ride
