I am toying with the idea of doing a ride down to Weston this coming Sunday if anyone fancies it, with the return leg on the train.
Starting from Bromsgrove Railway station at 7am, and taking the more scenic route to the seaside via the Forest of Dean and over the old Severn Bridge. Roughly 115 miles at a pace that will only be as fast as the slowest person, there will be NO rush, with possible stops at:-
Staunton Garden Centre @ 41 miles
Dean Heritage Centre, Soudley @ 60 miles
Bell Hanger pub in Chepstow @ 77 miles
Gordano Services @ 98 miles
Return train cost is £20.40 from Weston to Bromsgrove, hence the starting point at Bromsgrove. Ideally we need to be looking to catch the 16:28hrs from Weston to arrive at Bromsgrove for 19:12hrs. The only downside is that we have to change at Cheltenham and also Worcester.
Possible and most likely route is HERE
I am not looking for a large group as it impacts to great on the café stops and also the logistics on the return train journey.
So if anyone is interested, please shout up
