Sorry guys but Handicap placings need to be checked as there is definately 1 error sorry Gary your pb is 16.11 from August so H/Cap should be 1.11 not 3.39 Also Steve your PB was 16.13 so H/Cap should be 1.13 I'll be checking the others shortly yes it looks like PB's from August were not added to the New Tables so a bit of checking & some corrections to do also H/Caps for new riders to add

again thanks to all.
It's really good to get the season underway (it's been a particularly long winter) though today I'm rediscovering muscles I'd forgotten about.

Including the effect of the last tt of last year and new riders to Beacon TT (their times are restricted to being no lower than base time) below are the draft results. Please note if anyone is over 60 please let me know as your time will decrease by approx 1% - the only person I have adjusted is Dave C. Layout is not great, just trying to work it out, but basic explanation is actual time, handicap, age adj if required (nothing if not), handicap time and handicap points. Please let me know if any questions.
Time H'cap Age adj Final Points
Min - sec Min - sec Min - sec Min - sec
Brian Botfield 17.23 3.58 13.25 40
Steve Bull 15.27 1.13 14.14 39
Richard Kings 19.09 4.54 14.15 38
Dave Cole 19.15 4.41 0.12 14.22 37
Simon Dighton 16.13 1.43 14.30 36
Neil Compton 18.23 3.51 14.32 35
Charles White 18.58 4.01 14.57 34
Lee Marrow * 17.06 3.00 15.00 33
Richard Greer * 16.32 3.00 15.00 33
Phil Gameson * 17.57 3.00 15.00 33
Gary Macintosh 16.12 1.11 15.01 30
Dave Hughes 19.21 3.30 15.51 29
Rosie Croggan 19.37 3.30 16.07 28
Paul Deane 19.03 2.38 16.25 27
* for riders with base level handicap rules are that the handicap time is restricted
to base time for the course of 15 mins - this generally applies to new riders and
after 4 time trials the handicaps are reset

Also Sorry Garry Mac is out by 1 sec should be 15.00 16.11 pb 1.11 H/cap also Rosie Croggon is not a Beacon member 1 other thing that also needs to be considered is that to qualify for H/Cap points you should be a paid up member of the club which hopefully will be included in the new Rules

hey guys
how many years do you have to be out of competition before your handicap gets reset?

I suggest: more years than Ringo's been out of competition, but fewer than I've been out of competition.

The only change in placings on the handicap table is for Rosie as I believe this was a guest appearance. Steve C - if I have got this wrong please let me know v easy to correct. Dave H and Paul D now have times adjusted for age but as expected this does not impact on the placings. Gary M h'cap looks right - prev PB was 16.11, time 16.12 therefore handicap time 15.01 but again easy to change if wrong (and won't affect placings). All riders have paid their subs. Adrian D - I think you will be back on a restart of handicaps next year based on only 2 rides in 2011 and 2010 and none in 2012. Handicaps for the KC32 /20 scheduled for Apr 7th are unchanged from previous spreadsheet published a couple of weeks ago. If anyone can't find it please drop me a line. This means final results and placings subject to BB review are

Any questions please let me know. Not out next week but if I can get the results from the KC 32 should be able to put up draft h'cap positions for that event, and cumulative handicap points, by the end of next weekend.
Best, Simon

To return to Base Handicaps you must have not competed in any club event for the current or previous 3 seasons although the rules still state that a previous Time or a course may be used The fact that many courses are new does sort of give you a restart
