Me and Mike Mc raced the CAT 4 crit on Sunday-35 laps/35 miles. The weather was horrible-cold rain and blustery wind. However, there was still a field of about 40 who raced. A few people dropped out during the race-which didn't surprise me as I considered every lap.
Sat at the back for a lot-tried to get in a break but the wind was too strong so it came together. Moved up in the last 5 laps and was in a decent position but there was a bad crash with 100m as everyone was jockying for position (exact same place as last year). I missed the jump for the sprint and finished just outside top 10 (think I was 11/12?).

Well done you two for having a go in that weather.
Better luck next time the points can't be far away for either of you.
Going by the form Mike was in when he left me for dead on the bcc run.

Great to hear you that you raced, guys. Sounds scary with the weather and crashes, not sure I'd be brave enough!

Nice one chaps, comforting to know that I wasn't the only fool to be racing in Sunday's hellish conditions. I'd love to give the crits a go but talk of such frequent crashes gives me the jitters.
When and where is the BCC run these days ?

[When and where is the BCC run these days ?]
Nic: 7am Sat. start outside Alistairs old shop (BCC) on Bristol Road.
Bad luck Doug. No such thing as a dry race at the moment
