Me, Gaz and Greg raced in the Cat 4 group last night. Eventful to say the least. I got pushed out on to the grass verge and had to chase on and then a couple of laps later came down in a crash. Lucky for me nothing was broken (me and the bike). I took a lap out to get the chain on/gears sorted. I sat in then for the remaining 20 mins, coming around 3/4 wheel on the last hairpin and sprinted for 2nd place. Which means I am now offically 3rd Cat. In reality I'll still be racing the same 3/4 cat races anyway but happy for the result.

Well done Doug, talk about doing it in style, I bet that was at least as satisfying as an uncomplicated 1st place would have been.

There was bottle of HPA and Dorothy Goodbody-Wyre valley Brewary are the organisers sponsors. That's what we need to do-get a brewery on board for the Beacons.
That isn't a hole in my shorts (it's the way I'm standing) and the Wyre Forest bloke looks miserable because he came 3rd!
Thanks for the comments. I will now be able to report on 3rd Cat races I've come nowhere in.
