If you've been thinking for a while that you might try a time trial this year then tomorrow nights little 6 miler is your perfect opportunity. (and the last one this year, not counting the hill climbs which are only for animals and people with malfunctioning pain receptors) Perfect! you're bound to get a PB and how hard can it be if half of it is down hill!

So come on guys and gals, let's get a big turn out for our final one and how about we could go for a pint and a bite afterwards at the Hollybush down Gorcott Hill. It's even been rumoured that Mrs Deane will ride so there's a chance as fat as a fat thing that you won't be last! (don't you dare tell her I said that) Details here:

I passed down part of this route a couple of days ago - there were roadworks on the road leading up to the first hill - but hopefully they will have cleared up now. Hope to be there anyway!

Just checked tonight - all clear now :)

Yes Brian, it's me. Eric Hogg had to cry off as he's in the middle of a house move. See you later and fingers crossed for the weather.

Weather is forecast to improve. Fingers crossed as ideally i need to ride this tt and the two hill climbs to have done ten events.

Well that wind was nice up the A435 but not so much up Ravens Bank Drive or Coventry Highway, where I suffered. At least it was dry though. Not a bad time for me, especially as I was still a bit tired after the 100 in 8, and I think I beat Brian - just?
Shame the turnout was quite small but I guess it's only a 6-miler and quite a few have finished for the season. Roll on the Hill Climb(s)!

Drum roll.................................THE RESULTS!!!

Chris Hudson 15.49
Neil Compton 18.15
Richard Leaper 18.28
Steve Morton 18.33
Brian Botfield 18.39
John Crawshaw DNF (Guest)

Commiserations to would be first time time trialler John who's turn it was to go wrong on the course this week. He did actually finish but only after nine and a half miles. Keep training John, and we'll see you next year.

Well done Chris, but looking at the times are you sure you didn't take a short cut?

You don't need to ride 10 events Neil just 10 points scores 2 of those can be zero although if there was a tie on points we would really have to award the trophy to the rider with most rides but there is no rule for it we have had a tie on points before & had joint winners
